Updating your family photos every year is the perfect way to mark time, but it’s one of those to-do list items that also comes with at least a half dozen other tasks, from staring bleary-eyed at the screen as you try to narrow down your favorites to perusing 5,287 card options.
Not to mention doing all this ⬆ early enough to avoid shipping backlogs.
Providing a top-notch client experience is at the cornerstone of my business, so I’m always listening to feedback & tweaking things behind the scenes to serve my clients even better.
This led me to ask the question:
How can I take the convenience of a mini session & elevate it with the extra touches of a full-service experience?

Curious how these full-service mini sessions work?
As with typical mini sessions, I scheduled the date and location and set up available time slots.
Once they had reserved a spot, clients received their welcome guide with all my best tips for preparing for their session, from what to expect the day of the session to how to plan coordinating outfits.
Then, before session day, clients were able to peruse our curated selection of holiday card designs and pick a handful of favorites. I also shared our holiday card address tool to help them easily prep their list for the included full envelope address printing!

The best part of these full-service mini sessions is that I’m still there to guide you through the process after your session!
Instead of sending off an online gallery of images, my clients and I sat down together virtually a few days later for their reveal session!
In just one hour, I guided them through narrowing down their images to just their favorites by using my special software to show similar images side by side.
From there, we finalized their holiday cards using mockups I’d created with their pre-selected card designs, and then—in less time than it takes to make it through the Starbucks drive thru 😉—they were ready for me to send to production!
Print. Gift. DONE. ✅
In addition to a set of holiday cards & envelopes with full address printing, each session also included two ready-to-display matted prints.
In addition to upgrading to one of our optional collections with extra cards, images, and print products, most of my clients also took advantage of the opportunity to take care of some of their holiday gifting—the most popular gift add-ons were our stand-up image folios and matted prints!
