It was a quiet morning, rosy streaks of pink and orange sunrise giving way to a golden morning glow. The waters of Lake Murray lapped quietly at the shore, and it was just us and the early morning fishermen — although it very well could have been just the two of them, the sweetest, most radiant parents-to-be savoring every moment of the final weeks before meeting their long-awaited little one. The calm, joyful anticipation was impossible to miss, and the love that these two have for one another shone through in every smile, every glance, every gaze!
It was a true delight to meet up with Chelsea and James on Lake Murray for their maternity session! None of us could have anticipated that morning that their sweet girl would be arriving just four days later… six weeks early! Chelsea was the most beautiful and radiant mama-to-be, and I had some literal heart eyes going on seeing the way that James looked at her. And I absolutely loved being able to incorporate a location that had special meaning for them! Lake Murray is one of their favorite places, and they were married on the water in Charleston, so the “Jewel of South Carolina” seemed like the perfect place!
Chelsea and James—Thank you again for the honor of capturing this season of life for your family! I can see how much love you have for one another, and I know that it will provide a strong foundation as you embark upon this next chapter of parenthood. Big hugs to both of you and your sweet girl!
