Suddenly, Diana — the guest of honor — was spotted out the window, and the excited crowd gathered at the back door to greet her. As she stepped into the room, her eyes shimmered bright with excitement. She scanned the crowd, looking at the faces of her dear friends gathered to celebrate her birthday and beaming from ear to ear. “Oh my gosh, this is AMAZING!” she exclaimed, taking in every one of the carefully-planned details and hugging each of her guests. It was the start of an evening that Diana would describe as her “best birthday EVER!”
The most memorable moment for me was seeing the surprise and excitement on Diana’s face when she discovered that Ian, her favorite bartender from Prohibition Charleston, was there serving up cocktails! Throughout the whole evening, it was so evident how excited she was to be surrounded by so many of her friends to celebrate her birthday… her joy was contagious!
What stuck with me the most was the incredible energy, warmth, and love emanating from Diana at every moment. Not only could you tell that she was having the absolute best time, but her appreciation for all the work that went into the event and her gratitude to all those who made it happen was so evident!
